NWR Accommodation on the Skeleton Coast

Four Camps on One of the World's Most Dramatic Coastlines

The Skeleton Coast stretches for over 500 kilometres along the northwest coast of Namibia — a raw, windswept shore where the cold Benguela Current meets ancient desert dunes, shipwrecks lie half-buried in the sand, and the fishing is extraordinary. Namibia Wildlife Resorts operates four camps along this coastline, from the upgraded Windpomp 14 near Swakopmund to the remote angler's paradise of Terrace Bay deep inside the Skeleton Coast National Park.

As an authorised NWR booking agent, we charge exactly what NWR charges — no markups, no booking fees. Simply tell us where you'd like to stay and we'll handle the rest.

Windpomp 14

Previously known as Mile 14, Windpomp 14 was closed for nine years before reopening as a significantly upgraded camp on the Skeleton Coast, north of Swakopmund. Campsites sit directly on the Atlantic in three rows — beachfront being the most sought after — each with a private hot shower, flush toilet, fridge, gas plate, 220V power, and braai. The Fisherman's Pub and Grill and a kiosk round out the facilities. No park fees required.

Mile 108 — remote Skeleton Coast camping
Remote Camping · 34 km South of Ugab Gate · No Park Fees
Mile 108

Located 34 kilometres south of the Ugab entrance gate to Skeleton Coast National Park, Mile 108 offers the full Skeleton Coast experience without daily park fees. Four accommodation types range from basic beach camping with communal ablutions to private-ablution beachfront sites (only 5) and simple Fisherman's Cabins. The entire camp runs on solar power and donkey boilers — genuinely off-grid. Shore fishing for kabeljou and surf sharks is the main draw.

Terrace Bay Resort

Deep inside Skeleton Coast National Park, Terrace Bay is one of the most remote NWR resorts in Namibia — limited to 50 guests at any time, by design. Twenty beachfront rooms with breakfast included, two self-catering beach chalets sleeping up to 10, a restaurant and bar, and some of the finest shore fishing in Africa. The Benguela Current delivers kabeljou, steenbras and galjoen to this stretch of coast. Fishing licence required before entering the park.

Torra Bay — seasonal fishing camp inside Skeleton Coast National Park
Seasonal Campsite · Inside Skeleton Coast National Park · Dec–Jan Only
Torra Bay

Torra Bay is open for only two months a year — December and January — as a seasonal fishing retreat inside the Skeleton Coast National Park. During those two months it becomes one of the most popular camps on the coast, drawing dedicated anglers to what is considered prime fishing territory. A basic but atmospheric campsite in an extraordinarily wild setting. If you fish, this is a bucket-list destination. Fishing licence from the Ministry of Fisheries required.
