The Ideal Stopover Through Damaraland

Chalet numbers 1 to 19 are the larger, more spacious bush chalets at Khorixas. Most have their own private braai facilities, with the exception of chalets 11, 13, 15, 17 and 19, which have none. Some rooms have fridges, though this cannot be guaranteed.

Chalet numbers 20 to 26 are the smaller bush chalets at Khorixas. These units share one braai area between every two rooms, making them a good fit for travellers happy to keep things simple and budget-friendly.

Khorixas Lodge has two Family Chalets (VIP Chalets), each sleeping up to four adults across two air-conditioned bedrooms with built-in cupboards. Each chalet has a self-catering kitchen and is equipped with a TV — ideal for families or small groups wanting extra space.

Khorixas Lodge has 20 campsites that share ablution blocks and a kitchen area. Nine of these sites sit on a lawn area with braai facilities, well suited to guests pitching tents rather than travelling with roof tents.

Khorixas is the gateway to Damaraland, sitting in a fascinating geographical area with a number of geological features within easy driving distance — including the petrified forest and Twyfelfontein with its ancient rock engravings. While not exploring Damaraland, guests can cool down in the sparkling pool at Khorixas Lodge.
