Premium Camping Inside Namib-Naukluft — Early Access to the Dunes

Twelve exclusive campsites, each designed for the discerning camper. Every site is generously sized — up to 10 guests — and includes a pergola for shade, a flat surface ideal for tents, and its own private ablution facilities with hot and cold running water. An outdoor kitchenette and 220V electrical connection make these genuinely self-sufficient sites.

Staying inside Namib-Naukluft National Park means you can reach Sossusvlei before the park gate opens to day visitors — arriving at the dunes at first light, before the heat of the day and before the crowds. Sossusvlei and Deadvlei at sunrise, with no one else there, is one of Namibia's great wilderness experiences — and it's only possible if you sleep inside the park.

Oshana guests have access to the bar, restaurant, and swimming pool at the adjacent NWR Sesriem Camp — a significant bonus for campers wanting to enjoy a meal out or cool off after a day in the desert heat. Further facilities at Sesriem include a convenience shop, fuel station, and tyre repair services — essential for guests arriving on remote gravel roads.

The Namib is one of Africa's most dramatic and diverse landscapes. From the campsite, guests can access Sossusvlei, Deadvlei, Hidden Vlei, Dune 45, and Big Daddy Dune — as well as Sesriem Canyon just 5 km away. The Oshana campsite also serves as an excellent base for hot air balloon flights over the dunes, quad biking, guided game drives, and scenic flights over the Namib Desert.
