Being inside the park, Dead Valley Lodge guests reach the dunes before day visitors — meaning first light on Sossusvlei and Deadvlei is yours alone. The lodge offers morning and afternoon game drives to Sossusvlei and Sesriem Canyon, guided walks, and sunset drives to the nearby Elim Dune. For photographers, the Namib Desert presents extraordinary light — at dawn, dusk, and under the stars.

Dead Valley Lodge is one of only two lodges inside Namib-Naukluft National Park. The park location means you arrive at Sossusvlei and Deadvlei before the day visitors enter — this is the single biggest reason to choose an inside-park lodge over accommodation outside the gates. Book well in advance, especially for May to September peak season.

Dead Valley Lodge does not cater for children under six years of age. This is an adults-and-older-children retreat — quiet, luxurious, and focused on the desert experience.
